Shepherd of the Hills Family of the Month
October - The Fidziukiewicz Family
We are so very lucky to have served the Fidziukiewicz Family over the years and are thankful to have them as a part of our Shepherd of the Hills family!
The Fidziukiewicz family loves skiing together, swimming, biking, family trips, cooking and enjoying family meals together. Their favorite family prayer is the rosary. Saint John Paul II is their favorite Saint because he loved young people and is a patron Saint of families. He also loved to ski! Saint Mother Theresa is a close second because she teaches us to love more, especially the poor.
“Shepherd of the Hills is a small school with a family-like atmosphere, where we know everybody name. The teachers' Catholic approach is continuation of what is being taught at home. This school year we are excited for our children to learn, grow and mature in a Catholic environment where knowledge and faith in action come together.” Anna Fidziukiewicz

November - The Gantner Family
The Gantners love to play baseball, fish, have campfires and watch movies together. One of their family traditions is doing daily devotions together at night to reflect on the day and thank the Lord for all of their blessings! How cool is that?!
“We love the closeness of the families and the morals and values that are expressed at school, as they are a continuance of what is practiced at home.” Shera Gantner
Thank you Gantners for being an important part of our school, we are privileged to serve you and have you as a part of our Shepherd of the Hills family!

December - The Taylor Family
The Taylors love to cook, bowl and attend all their girl’s athletic events together. They also look forward to attending Badger events and church as a family. One important family tradition they have is saying prayers before meals and bedtime and giving up something during Lent! They also enjoy helping out others and donating to those less fortunate.
Some of the things they love about Shepherd are, the small class sizes, the reasonable tuition and our beautiful onsite church and weekly all-school Mass.
The Taylors are new to our school this year and we are very blessed and excited to have them as a part of our Shepherd of the Hills Family!

January - The Kissinger Family
The Kissingers have been a part of Shepherd of the Hills for many years and we are so lucky to have them!
The Kissinger Family loves to go up north to their cottage in the spring and summer time, watch their kids at athletic events and snow ski at their family ski hill together. Every year in July they head up north with their whole extended family to enjoy water skiing, knee boarding, swimming, eating, relaxing and family fun!
“The religious and faith-based school education is very important to us in order to have our children start on the right path of life.” Michelle Kissinger

February - The Desiderio Family
The Desiderios love to go on family adventures together like the zoo, park, sporting events, road trips and museums. They have turn-off Tuesdays in their home with no screens, family dinner, board games and books.
One special tradition they have is, when traveling they try to find a Christmas ornament representing the trip. Decorating the tree every year becomes a trip down memory lane, recounting the experiences and stories from their family times together!
“We love the community here. ‘It takes a village’ is so true, and our village here is just what we need. Small class size, personal attention, spiritual and religious opportunity and being a part of something.” Sarah Desiderio
The Desiderio Family does so much for our school and we are proud to have them as part of our Shepherd family! Thank you!

March - The Gnadt Family
The Gnadt Family came to Shepherd of the Hills because they were looking for a close-knit school built upon Catholic values. They love to swim together, play Uno, build Legos, play football and cook.
The Lord’s Prayer is a daily ritual in their home whether it be at dinner or bedtime.
Thank you to the Gnadt Family for being an important part of our school family, we are happy to serve you!

April - Koelbl Family
The Koelbls love going to lakes together, especially Door County. They love to bike, draw and make art, have movie nights and sleepovers on the living room floor.
“We knew a few families that attended SOTH and we liked what we heard about the school. We love the class sizes, the authentic Catholic education they receive, the small community atmosphere and we love that all grades attend mass each week with adoration!” Rachel Koelbl
Mary is very special to their family as they ask her to intercede for their family quite often. They look forward to Lent when they make some family sacrifices and work on earring points for a reward at Easter time.
We are so thrilled to have the wonderful Koelbl Family at Shepherd! Thank you for all you do!

May - Condon Family
The Condons love that their children learn about God and faith in school. They love spending time together as a family especially when they are at their cabin up north, fishing, biking, hiking and playing sports outside.
They started to pray before dinnertime every night because of the prayers their children learned at school! How wonderful!
When they go to church on Sunday they love to learn about God’s word and express praises of thanksgiving to the Lord!
